The political dialogues in Vijay starrer A R Murugadoss directed “Sarkar” have now snowballed into huge political storm in Tamilnadu.
Sun Pictures, the production house that produced the film, had tweeted that Chennai police reached to director Murugadoss’s house to arrest him. This spread like wildfire and several celebrities began tweeting in support of the director.
It was an attack on freedom of speech, they had defended. But soon some media houses put the news that it was false report.
Late in the night, director A R Murugadoss tweeted confirming that police had knocked his doors.
“Police had come to my house late tonight and banged the door several times. Since I was not there they left the premises. Right now I was told there is no police outside my house,” he tweeted implying that the police came to arrest him.
It is not clear who is telling the truth. However, the film has created a major political controversy.
