Bollywood industry has found a new market in the global arena. China is turning out to be the most fruitful market for Bollywood cinema.
After Dangal and Secret Superstar taking China box office by storm, it is Bhajrangi Bhaijaan’s time to stamp its authority over it.
Salman Khan’s 2015 film Bhajrangi Bhaijaan has been dubbed into Chinese as Little Lolita Monkey God Uncle opened to very good collections across China.
The film’s opening day gross is $ 2.24 Mil, which is more than Dangal and less than Little Superstar. It collected nearly $ 3 Mil on its second day and is set for a strong first week.
While India’s visual spectacles like Baahubali aren’t appealing to Chinese audience, films that are high on emotions are striking a chord with them.
All Dangal, SS and BB are highly emotional dramas which seem to be the formula to click at China box office.
Let’s see if Bollywood dishes out more such films to make China a permanent box office resource.
