Rajamouli's multistarrer with NTR and Charan will start rolling from Sep/Oct this year. Actual plan was to make a pure commercial film under Rs. 120 crore budget and limit it to local market.
However, producers from Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam industries are coming forward to release it in their respective languages as they wanted to cash in on Rajamouli’s Baahubali craze. So Rajamouli has reportedly made changes to his plan.
Now the film’s budget has been increased to Rs. 200 crore and it may go further up. Actors from various languages will be cast in supporting roles.
A few portions will be shot separately with actors from other languages to add local flavor to the dubbed versions.
Although Rajamouli isn’t going for visual effects this time, this multi-starrer will have two hundred and fifty working days. Rajamouli planned to complete it in 150 days, but everything has changed now.
The film was supposed to hit the screens in 2019 summer, but the latest reports claim that it will target Sankranthi 2020 release.
NTR and Charan have given bulk dates for Rajamouli’s film and won’t be doing any film until they are done with it.
NTR and Charan will complete Trivikram and Boyapati Srinu films respectively before getting on the sets of Rajamouli’s film.
Meanwhile, the actors have left to USA for a special photo shoot. They are accompanied by Rajamouli’s son Karthikeya who will supervise the photo shoot.
Well known overseas distributor has ensured a smooth trip for the actors.
