Telugu industry has got many talented music directors but our producers give a deaf ear to the quality. That is the reason why many talented music directors got faded out.
Talking about the current generation, Devi Sri Prasad and SS Thaman are the popular music directors. Producers have lot of complaints on DSP about his remuneration, arrogant behavior and delay in giving the tunes or background score.
However, Devi tries to give quality music most of the times and he has succeeded so far. While Devi has become busy in Tamil, SS Thaman came into the scene and he has become a busy music director.
Unlike DSP, Thaman doesn't have any remarks from the producers and he is better known for his limited budget, friendly behavior and 1 or 2 hit numbers on the album.
But the music lovers complain a lot about Thaman regarding his excessive usage of drums and copying the tunes.
Still, Thaman was able to compose music for 10 movies in 2013. Strangely, none of his films fetched him a nomination in filmfare awards this year.
Devi Sri Prasad, Mickey J Meyer, Sunny MR and Anup Rubens have the nominations but Thaman doesn't have one.
Well, this is one clear example to say that quality matter. We love your music Mr. Thaman, but please give us some fresh tunes, says the music lovers.
