Suicide Is My Last Resort: Officer Buyer

Suicide Is My Last Resort: Officer Buyer

The business of film-making has become a gamble of late in Tollywood. Buyers are investing in combinations and track records rather than watching rushes before investing.

So, if the film works then they are making some money, but they are losing in crores when their combinations go wrong.

But not all buyers are big players, some tend to be smaller players. And one such buyer who bought RGV's Offficer is now saying that suicide is his last resort.

A buyer from Rajahmundry called Subramanyam is said to have bought the rights for Rs 3.5 crores for Andhra area, which includes 8 districts.

Since Nagarjuna's Rajugari Gadi 2 brought in Rs 7 crores, he should have thought Rs 3.5 crore was a good rate for the film.

However, he seems to have miscalculated the present market of Nag and RGV as RGV is unable to deliver hits with both big and small heroes.

The poor buyer ended up making huge losses after investing Rs 3.5 crore. This resulted in he being flooded with calls from investors in the area.

But from his side, Subramanyam maintains he does not know RGV personally and that he had bought the rights from RGV's co-producer Sudheer Chandra.

When told that he can approach producers' council, Nagarjuna or Film Chamber, the producer says this is the first time he has bought the rights for a big film and hopes that the industry biggies will come to his aid.
