Earlier, heroes used to give the green signal to a project if they liked the storyline narrated by the director and then it was entirely up to the director.
But there have been many instances of movie with good concepts failing at the box-office because of poor screenplay. Hence, the heroes are now taking care in this department too.
Nagarjuna who liked the concept of ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ is reportedly having some scenes rewritten as they have not been satisfactorily shot.
Similarly, Prabhas who liked young director Sujith’s (Run Raja Run fame) story agreed to do a film with him. But the final script was not to Prabhas’s liking and he has asked Sujith to work on it again.
Even Dil Raju who tasted success with ‘Kerintha’ had the entire 30 minutes of the movie which was originally shot, scrapped and asked director Sai Kiran Adivi to redo the script. As they say, prevention is better than cure.
