Mahesh Babu's Caution In Vain

At the time of starting 'Brahmotsavam', Mahesh Babu apparently made it clear to Srikanth Addala that the movie should be completed in time for a release towards the end of April.

Judging by the progress of the film’s shoot, it is unlikely that the movie will be able to meet its deadline and Srikanth Addala’s style of filmmaking is said to be the key reason.

Srikanth has this habit of shooting lengthy footages for his movies and most of them are chopped off on the editing table.

In fact, some scenes were shot for his earlier movies ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ and ‘Mukunda’ featuring actors who were nowhere to be seen in the final version on screen.

Also, going in for grandiose sets does hamper schedules. For ‘Seethamma Vakitlo’, a set replicating ‘Bhadrachalam’ temple was constructed whereas for ‘Brahmotsavam’, a Tirumala temple set has been erected.

So, despite the best of efforts, it seems like Mahesh’s caution has been in vain.
