In recent times, one of the genuine blockbusters in Tollywood is Ram Charan's Rangasthalam.
The period-drama directed by Sukumar was produced by Mythri and it was a bit of a gamble given the storyline. But the producers trusted Sukumar blindly and the movie paid rich dividends at the box-office.
The revenues of the film far exceeded the expectations of the producers and they have signed Sukumar for another project with Mahesh Babu.
What’s more, apparently Mythri films have given an extra Rs 7 crore to Sukumar as a token of their appreciation for the super collections of Rangasthalam.
The production house is looking to forge a long-term relationship with Sukumar the way, Harika and Haasine has done with Trivikram.
