Despite weak content and not so encouraging reviews, Venkatesh's "Babu Bangaram" grossed good amount by end of its first weekend.
The film has collected approximately Rs 10+ Cr share worldwide in the first three days. The film has collected nearly 3.35 Cr in Nizam and 1.60 Cr in Ceded areas.
In Coastal Andhra, the film is collected another 4 Cr share. The figures of USA territory are not rosy but the movie has grossed Rs 400+k by end of the first weekend. Altogether, "Babu Bangaram" has collected slightly above Rs 10 Cr share in the first three days worldwide.
Directed by Maurthi, the movie is rehash of "Nirnayanam" and it has widely been panned by critics for its poor content. Except for the comedy, the movie doesn't much to talk about. The movie was released on the eve of Venkatesh completing 30 years of career in Tollywood.
On the other hand, the other new release "Thikka" is a complete washout at box-office. Starring Sai Dharam Tej as lead hero, the film didn't receive even decent openings. Audiences didn't show any interest in the movie.
