Sai Dharam Tej's latest film Jawaan is off to a strong start at the box office. The film has received average to decent reviews from the critics fraternity and also has been getting similar response from the general audience.
With the Thursday releases Oxygen and Indrasena turning out to be duds, it is advantage Jawaan for the weekend with the better word of mouth.
Although SDT’s previous three films were disasters, it didn’t affect the opening of Jawaan a bit. Dil Raju’s strategic release and good promos ensured good start at the ticket window.
With no big films to hit the screen until Dec 21, Jawaan has ample time to get to the safe zone. The film is sold for reasonable prices compared to recent mid range films.
However, real test for Jawaan starts on Monday as none of the recent films managed to hold after the first weekend including better films like Garuda Vega and Khakee.
Last week releases Balakrishnudu and Mental Madhilo ended up as huge flops at the box office.
