This Week's Trade Talk: Dull Beginning

This Week's Trade Talk: Dull Beginning

After a rather expected and flop November, December started off on a rather dull note. The releases began with Jawaan this month.

The film starring Sai Dharam Teja did have good expectations, but failed to garner interest among audiences once it hit the screens.

The collections took a nose dive from Monday and it has killed all hopes of Sai Dharam Teja.

The film was supposed to be a Dassera release and the delay did have an impact on the film's fortune. Also, wrong timing took a toll on the collections.

Another film that released last week was Gopichand's Oxygen. The film was a huge blow to the already sluggish career of Gopichand. The film which was in the cans for long, bored the audiences with its '90s style story.

Yet another release last week was Vijay Anthony's Indrasena. While he could win over Telugu audiences with his Bichagadu, Indrasena barely evoked any interest.

This week saw the release of Saptagiri Express and Malli Raava, both of which did not have a commendable opening.
