Finally, A Hit And Smiles Post Baahubali

Bollywood business has been in shatters post Baahubali 2. None of the Hindi biggies clicked at the box office after Baahubali 2 has rewritten history.

Even Salman Khan’s film Tubelight bit dust during this period. Ranbir Kapoor and Shahrukh Khan’s miserable run continued with Jagga Jasoos and Jab Harry Met Sejal respectively.

Other notable films like Raabta and Munna Michael sank without a trace leaving Bollywood business in a huge mess.

Except for a small film Hindi Medium none of the Bollywood films managed to reach the safe zone post Baahubali 2. Finally, the jinx has been broken and it is with an ever reliable Akshay Kumar’s film.

Toilet Ek Prem Katha has gone from strength to strength since its release and netted Rs. 83.45 crore in India by Tuesday. It had the best day at the office on Independence Day by netting Rs. 20 crore thus making the most of the national holiday.

The film is racing towards Rs. 100 crore mark and is likely to become the highest grossing film in Akshay’s career.
