If any community or caste believes that it is getting a raw deal, then it has every right to protest: but in a democratic fashion.
Destroying public property and threatening to increase the scale of violence if their demands are not met is completely unacceptable.
In no manner should the government at the State or Central level bow down to the demands of Hardik Patel.
Accepting his demands would immediately send out a signal to the rest of the nation and various cases and communities that anything can be achieved through violence. This is a test of character for Narendra Modi.
The way he deals with Hardik Patel and his gang should be such that no one in future would think of resorting to violence for achieving their ends. This is not the time for vote-bank politics!
