Indian Cricket Team Takes Journos For A Ride

The Indian team had arrived in Perth on Monday after beating South Africa in their second league match in Melbourne the previous day.

The Indian team had an off-day yesterday, with players choosing to cool their heels in their hotel rooms.

But outside the hotel, there was hullaballoo about players practising on the sands of the beach in Perth.

The electronic media persons swung into action and tried to track the players. Now the problem was there are 19 beaches in Perth and one did not know which one was the preferred location.

The reporters and camerapersons went on beach hunting but could not spot the players.

After about a three-hour search, the journos found the players, including MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, shopping in the city centre.

India will play UAE, who lost to Ireland in Brisbane on Wednesday and are still searching for their first victory in World Cups. MS Dhoni's team, on the other hand, is unbeaten after winning both their Pool B fixtures against Pakistan and South Africa.

The Indian team will remain in Perth until their second game at the WACA against West Indies.
