Mahendra Singh Dhoni has slapped a defamation suit on a television channel to the tune of Rs 100 crore.
The Zee network had carried a story alleging that Dhoni had resorted to match-fixing.
Understandably, Dhoni was infuriated. On a losing spree as a captain, the timing of the story couldn’t have come at a worse time for Dhoni.
While such kinds of stories on cricketers have become normal these days, it is still a serious allegation and all eyes are now on Zee as to how they will respond to the defamation suit.
