Greatandhra.com has been the bridge for Andhra Pradesh and NRI Telugus in particular, bringing in the news, reviews and analytical articles on Films and Politics. As greatandhra.com is a dynamic news site, we have been uploading several articles. After uploading any particular item, we remove that from server if we feel that inappropriate, basing on feedback. But unfortunately, a renowned Tollywood producer has threatened someone else in our team who is not responsible for a particular news item. Film Critic SiraSri has received the life-threatening call from the producer yesterday evening. The producer used abusive and brutal language while giving the threat. Adding to this, as a part of threat that causes mental disturbance, he has gone ahead to the extent of filing a case against SiraSri in Banjara Hills Police Station. But SiraSri is no way responsible to that and the answerable person for that is me, Venkat Arikatla, the Chief Editor/Admin/Web Master of greatandra.com. SiraSri has been only a reviewer who has been with us in that status. Some times he is serving us by interviewing some film celebrities. He is no way connected to the gossips or any other stuff both in Telugu and English. We have several other journalists who are working with us to provide several news items for us.
As SiraSri narrated the above incident to me, I have tried to call the producer several times on his phone but he didn't lift the phone. But he is lifting only SiraSri's call and asking him to make Venkat Arikatla (myself) call. I called again and again but no response from the producer. This beating around the bush by that producer is something funny and clueless. I am not taking the name of that producer here keeping his image in view point. But he has to read his name here if he continues to threaten any one related to greatandhra.com and also has to face legal and police departments for sure. He called SiraSri in the evening and said that police complaint was filed on him and also made CI of Banjara Hills area (there are doubts if he was really the CI) talk to him in inappropriate way on his own mobile (CI didn't call from landline of police station). We feel sad if police cops talk indecently with public/film critics or whoever basing on just a complaint from film celebrity. There is way for everything among the educated crowds. But this brutal way is something nasty and speaks very bad about film fraternity.
And the funniest part in this entire case is that the producer is no way connected with the news item which he is referring to. That is connected to another renowned director. And the director is completely calm on this issue so far. He didn't even talk to SiraSri regarding this. How can the producer go ahead to file a case on behalf of director in the police station which doesn't deal with Cyber Issues?
I'm stating that anybody, if found anything problematic or controversial on the site, they can contact me on [email protected] I cannot give my phone number here as it becomes a funny thing to receive all scrap and spam calls as well. Once the mail is sent to me along with the phone number of concerned person I shall call him within 12 hrs time. Then the persons can take down my phone number personally. I'm ready to face any consequence as far as the content on greatandhra.com is concerned. I'm the sole responsible person for this. I'm stating this publicly for Tollywood producers, directors, technicians, artistes, police department, and legal authorities who ever are there in Andhra Pradesh. And no other member who is working for greatandhra.com has any connection with this at all. I don't understand why the producer mentioned here doesn't come to my contact and threaten others.
