All Set For Bhadrachala Rama Kalyanam On Apr 19 in NJ

Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Devastanam, Bhadrachalam, AP, India is organizing the first ever Sri Srita Rama Kalyanam and Sri Rama Pattabhishekam at Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple (Sri Krishnaji Mandir) in NJ on the auspicious Chaitra Masam, Panchami, Saturday April 19, 2014, at its sprawling 42 acre campus in Morganville, NJ.

According to Dr. S. Yegnasubramanian, Chairman of Hindu American Temple and Cultural Center (HATCC), the Utsava Moorthies are arrived and is all set for the rare and exclusive opportunity for all of us to witness and participate in this grand event organized by Bhadrachalam Temple.

To propagate Bhakti and Sanatana Dharma, Bhadrachala Devasthanam has decided to perform Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam in USA. It is believed that, the region, where celestial kalyanams are performed, would be bestowed with peace and prosperity.

For this historic event, the Bhadrachalam Devasthanam is sending Utsava Moorthies, Pooja Samagri, Thalambralu (Akshatas), Rama Mada, several Priests and officials to conduct the Kalyanam. The highlight of the program is that immediately following the kalyanam, Sri Rama Pattabhishekam will be performed.

The Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple at Bhadrachalam,is the most famous temple in India dedicated to Lord Rama and is situated on the left bank of the Godavari river. It is a place of pilgrimage for Hindus, considered to be one of the greatest holy shrines in South India with a very rich and unique historical background.

The puranic and historic facts relate that Lord Rama long after he had shed his mortal coils manifested himself to save his devotee Bhadra Maharshi whom he promised 'moksha' after intensive prayer. Every year during the month of Chaitra, on the auspicious Navami the Kalyanamahotsavam of Sri Rama with his consort Sita is celebrated in a resplendent manner.

About Krishna Temple:
The Krishna temple is built on a ~42 acre property with parking for over 300 cars, located at 31 Wooleytown Road, Morganville, NJ 07751, and is one of the largest temples in USA. The Temple built the priest’s quarters consisting of twelve, fully-furnished apartments in 2010.

The upper level of the temple houses all the sanctums within an area of ~17,500 sq. ft. The lower level has a multi-purpose hall, facilities, gift-shop, and board room. The magnificent granite steps lead to the temple in the upper level. We have 18 steps in the south side of the front that lead to the Ayyappan sanctum. The presiding deity of the Temple is Lord Sri Guruvaayoorappan. In addition, the temple houses, Ganesha; Subrahmanya with Valli and Devasena; Siva with Ambika; Balaji with Sridevi & Bhudevi;; Ayyappa; Satyanarayana; Kannikaparameshwari; Bhadrachalam Rama, Krishna, Durga/Lakshmi/Saraswati, Gayatri, Kalabhairava, Hanuman and Navagrahas. All images are of Granite and sculptured by traditional artisans of Tamilnadu. Lord Ayyppa sanctum will have the 18-steps similar to those in Sabarimala in Kerala.

In addition, the temple houses the utsava murty’s of Lord Kalyana Srinivasa with Sridevi and Bhudevi from the Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), and Lord Satyanarayana from the Annavaram Satyanarayana Swami Devasthanam.
