What CBN Speaks, Eenadu Writes!

After the historic announcement on formation of separate Telangana state, the Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu went silent for nearly 24 hours.

Then, he broke his silence and projected himself as a statesman concerned about the welfare of all Telugus living in Telangana and Seemandhra.

What came as a surprise was that "Eenadu" daily also followed a similar pattern in terms of reacting to the Telangana development.

The tone, tenor and content of the Naidu's press conference was replicated in "Eenadu" editorial on Thursday.

For a discernible reader, it was clear that the source of the "talking points" was the same for the TDP chief and the newspaper.

The daily, which has been steadfastly supporting Naidu and his party, remained silent for a day and then came up with an editorial, pushing the responsibility of building a new capital for Seemandhra on par with Hyderabad.

Neither Naidu nor his favourite media outlet went into the follies and flip-flops of parties like TDP that led to the division of the state.

Instead, they sought to sell a big dream in the form of a brand new capital with thousands of crores and the opportunities that lay ahead. Both wanted the Central Government to bear the entire expenditure for building the new capital.

Even the concluding remarks of Naidu's media conference sounded similar to the concluding paragraphs of the editorial.

Is this is the latest instance of convergence of thoughts between the two?
