Purandeshwari Can't Win From Vizag!

Former union minister and Rajya Sabha member T Subbarami Reddy, who is hell bent on shunting union minister of state for commerce and industry Daggubati Purandeshwari from her Visakhapatnam constituency, has brainwashed party high command that she won’t be able to win the Visakhapatnam seat if she was given the ticket again.

Subbarami Reddy, who met party president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on Thursday, explained how he had been nurturing Visakhapatnam constituency over the years and how he had earned the support of the local party leaders and people.

“They won’t accept anybody than me as their MP. Purandeshwari was only a stop-gap arrangement. In the next elections, the Congress won’t be able to win the seat if she is fielded again,” he told the party president.

The MP told the media on Friday that Purandeshwari won’t have any other option but to go to Narsaraopet constituency.

“It is a clear vacancy and she can easily win the seat. She should contest from there,” he said.

Asked whether he would abide by the high command’s decision, if it decides to field Purandeshwari from Vizag again, Subbarami Reddy said the question did not arise at all.

“The high command will give the ticket only to me and not to Purandeshwari,” he  said.
