Dy CM to stay away from Kiran tour?

For quite some time, Deputy chief minister Damodar Raja Narasimha has been adopting blow-hot-blow-cold attitude towards chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. Sometimes, he showers praises on  Kiran and sometimes displays his disgruntlement towards him.

And on Friday, Raja Narasimha chose to stay away from the chief minister’s Medak tour on personal grounds. He met Kiran at the camp office in the morning, where the latter requested him to oversee arrangements for his tour in the district. However, the deputy chief minister excused himself saying he won’t be able to tour the district along with the chief minister as he had other engagements.

Sources, however, said Raja Narasimha was disgruntled at the way the chief minister was garnering all the credit for the SC/ST sub-plan (Indiramma Kalalu) programme. There was no picture of the deputy chief minister on the government’s publicity material on Indiramma Kalalu programme, though it was Raja Narasimha who had played a key role in devising the sub-plan. Even during the official programmes, the deputy chief minister felt he was not getting due recognition. He was even angry with the way Kiran was refusing to give him Home Portfolio, which is still kept with Sabita Indra Reddy.  In fact, he brought the same to the notice of Congress president Sonia Gandhi during his recent visit to New Delhi.
