Andhra MP Says T-State Won't Hit Seemandhra!

Congress MP from Amalapuram G V Harsh Kumar on Sunday said there was no harm whatsoever to Seemandhra region, if the Telangana state is carved out of Andhra Pradesh.

“Samaikyandhra is no more relevant now. For that matter, it is not at all an issue and the formation of Telangana will no way affect the Seemandhra region. The problem, however, is only with the status of Hyderabad which does not belong to Telangana alone,” Harsh Kumar said.

The Amalapuram MP strongly desired that the discussion at present should not be on whether the state should remain united or not. “The discussion should be on the status of Hyderabad. The Telangana state should be announced only after settling the dispute on Hyderabad,” he observed.

Harsh Kumar said there was no immediate threat to the Kiran Kumar Reddy government now.

“There is no need for the government to worry about leaders leaving the Congress party,” he said.
