The Ignorant Arrogance Of A Political Party

As controversial and offending as it may sound the fact of the matter is more than sensibility and wisdom, there are many in our country suffering from high ego and arrogance. Ego is natural but arrogance is dangerous and especially that arrogance which comes from ignorance. And when a political party which has the power to shape a nation is suffering from that arrogance the consequences of that on the society is beyond imagination.

One party which can be put up as an example is the BJP. Having the credit of being the biggest party throughout India which can stand against the congress, BJP has its own credentials but all that is getting clouded with their decisions. And this is rising out of their ignorance.

This is emerging due to their banking on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Their ‘Virtue’ was seen during the recent election of the BJP president.

Despite severe opposition the RSS was adamant on having their man Nitin Gadkari to continue as the president pardoning all his charges of corruption. With great difficulty Gadkari was brought down but not before another man was brought incharge. He is Rajnath Singh, yet another loyalist of the Sangh Parivar. If one can recall, Singh was once the president and the party went nowhere in terms of success or growth.

Now he is back into the business so yet again the impudence of the Sangh and the ignorance of BJP got into the open. The 2014 elections are looming and it is not that BJP never taster power. The iron willed Atal Behari Vajpayee held the PM’s office for a good time but at that point he ensured one thing, to keep the RSS at bay and lead the party with its own ideals instead of any fundamentalist ideologies.

Will that ever happen again? Only time should tell.
