Former finance secretary D. Subbarao’s statement to the joint parliamentary committee ( JPC) that there was “zero loss” in the 2G scam flooded the cyberspace with barbs directed at him and the Congress.

One netizen commented that the party had made the JPC a “Joke Poke Committee”. Another posted: “Et tu Subbu?” Subbarao’s statement made the BJP walk out from the JPC meeting.

Its leader Yashwant Sinha said the panel had become an “instrument to cloak the truth”.
