Kiran Lacks Leadership Qualities

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has miserably failed to provide leadership to the party in the state and has been encouraging groupism in the party.

This was the allegation made by Congress MPs from Telangana on Tuesday. Lashing out at Kiran Kumar Reddy, Congress MP from Peddapalli G Vivek said the party’s vote bank had fallen from 34 per cent to 18 per cent during the Kiran regime. “In the by-elections held to 52 seats in the last two years, the Congress had lost in 50 seats and even in the remaining two seats, it had just managed to win with a slender majority. It clearly shows the people’s antipathy towards Kiran’s leadership,” Vivek said.

The MP alleged that the Chief Minister had lacked leadership qualities. “There is no quality in his leadership. He never takes any leader into confidence and moreover, he is encouraging group politics in the party. There is every need to replace him with another strong leader who can lead the party to victory in the 2014 elections. If Kiran continues as the Chief Minister, then the party will be in deep troubles,” Vivek added.
