For the second successive year, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has declared his assets and that of his family members. And as usual, the figures are questionable.

Interestingly, the value of assets of Naidu’s family has come down compared to the last year. While the total value of Naidu’s family assets last year stood at Rs 39.88 crore, it has come down to about Rs 34 crore. The value of Naidu’s personal assets, including his car and house, has been projected at Rs 31.97 lakh, as against Rs 40 lakh last year.

On the other hand, the total value of the assets in the name of his wife Bhuvaneshwari at present is Rs 25 crore, as against Rs 27 crore projected last year. The properties owned by her include a 650 square yard plot at Panjagutta, five acres of agricultural land at Madinaguda in Sherlingampally Mandal and 50,000 sq ft land at Siriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu.

Similarly, the assets owned by his son Lokesh Naidu are now worth Rs 6.62 crore, as against the projected value of Rs 6.73 crore last year, including his share in the Heritage Foods, besides lands in Maharashtra. And with regard to his daughter-in-law Nara Brahmani, the value of her assets at present is Rs 2.09 crore, as against Rs 3.5 crore shown last year.

Well, somebody should question him whether the value of land gets appreciated or depreciated over the years. In any case, Naidu claims he has shown the right path to all the politicians in the country!
