Revolt against Cong, KK tells T-leaders

Senior Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha member K Kesava Rao appears to have decided to raise a banner of revolt against the Congress leadership, on the lines of veteran G Venkatswamy.

On Thursday, Kesava Rao called upon all the Telangana leaders and cadres to launch a war of sorts against the Congress party for not taking any decision the Telangana statehood issue, despite the overwhelming demand from all sides.

“The Congress is the main culprit in denying the Telangana state. It is time all of us revolt against the party and bring it to the knees to grant Telangana,” he said, while participating in the meeting to commemorate the first anniversary of Sakala Janula Samme (all people’s strike).

Kesava Rao also asked all the Congress party leaders from the region to participate in Telangana March to be held on September 30 to intensify the agitation.

“I am prepared to hold any flag for the sake of Telangana,” he asserted.
