Finally, CBI Is A Villain For Congress!

All these days, the Congress party leaders, including the ministers in the Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinet, have been strongly defending the Central Bureau of Investigation’s witch-hunting of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in his alleged illegal assets case.

Whenever Jagan and his party colleagues were attacking CBI and its joint director V V Lakshminarayana for falsely implicating him in the assets case, these Congress leaders used to launch a counter-attack and eulogise the officials, stating that the law was taking its own course.

But now, the Congress leaders have taken a U-turn, apparently realizing that the case has turned out to be a noose around their own necks. All those ministers who had blindly signed the files pertaining to issuances of controversial GOs benefiting companies that had finally invested in Jagan’s firms are now facing the CBI trial. While one minister Mopidevi Venkataramana had to lose his job and go to jail, another minister Dharmana Prasada Rao was compelled to resign as he was also charge sheeted by the CBI and he could be arrested any time.

The ministers are now accusing the CBI of witch-hunting them for no fault of theirs.

“The CBI is doing over-action in charge sheeting the ministers and officials. It has no powers to question the collective decision taken by the Cabinet and target individual ministers,” says minister Vatti Vasanth Kumar.

When the cabinet ministers who doled out sops to the companies cannot be blamed, how can Jagan be held responsible for these decisions and sent to jail? Any answer?
