PCC overhaul shortly: What about Botsa?

The Pradesh Congress Committee in the state is going to be completely overhauled shortly, if one were to go by the statement of All India Congress Committee secretary Krishnamurthy.

Speaking at the Rajiv Gandhi birth anniversary celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, Krishnamurthy said there would be a total revamping of the PCC and it would get a new look. He, however, did not say whether present PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana would retain his seat or he would also be thrown out as part of overhauling.

In fact, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is also very much worried about his position in the wake of reports that Congress president Sonia Gandhi is contemplating change of guard in the state. He would be going to New Delhi on Tuesday morning, while Botsa would be leaving on Monday evening itself as per the summons from the high command.

Kiran is expected to request the high command to give clarity on these rumours so that he would continue in the chief minister post till the 2014 elections. At the same time, Botsa would also want the high command to decide his future.
