If Bharatiya Janata Party projects Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the prime ministerial candidate of NDA, even Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneshwari would vote for him.

This was the opinion expressed by state BJP president G Kishan Reddy in an informal chat with the media on Saturday. He said it was unfortunate that some parties like the TDP were trying to project the BJP and Narendra Modi in communal colour only with an eye on Muslim vote bank.

“This is not correct. Modi is an efficient administrator with a clean image. He has all the capabilities to become the Prime Minister of the country. And if Modi is projected as the Prime Ministerial candidate, even Chandrababu Naidu’s wife and son would like to vote for him,” Kishan Reddy said.

On Telangana issue, the BJP state president said the Telangana state would become a reality only if the Congress party was buried in the elections.

“We will stall the Parliament on the last day of the monsoon session demanding an early decision on the Telangana statehood demand. The BJP will also take up a three-day Satyagraha in Delhi on September 3, 4 and 5,” Kishan Reddy said.
