Senior bureaucrats who have been languishing in Chanchalguda jail in connection with the CBI inquiry into various scams such as illegal mining scam of Gali Janardhan Reddy or alleged illegal assets case of YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy or Emaar scam, are said to be worried about their children’s career, rather than their personal life.

A senior central service official who is in jail in connection with the Jagan case is learnt to have lamented before his friends who called on him in jail, stating that his daughter was not getting good alliances because of the stigma of corruption attached to him in the case.

“I had to face the jail at a time when I was looking for good matches for my daughter. The marriage was almost settled when I was jailed. Now, the match is getting cancelled, as her would-be in-laws felt they, too, would get dragged into the cases,” he said.

So is the case with IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, who has been in the jail in connection with Gali Janardhan Reddy scam. She is also worried about her children, who are said to be facing the social stigma in their educational institutions. Only god knows when these bureaucrats would be able to get back their normal family life.
