Former minister and Congress MLA from Secunderabad Cantonment P Shankar Rao has predicted that there would be no takers for the party tickets in any elections in the coming days, if it did not stop protecting the corrupt ministers.

Shankar Rao told the media on Tuesday that the Congress government in the state was in dire straits with the ministers getting caught in scams one after the other.

“In the Kiran Kumar Reddy team, already two wickets are down. Six more wickets are going to fall very shortly. It is better to disband the team before it gets out cheaply,” he said.

He demanded that all the ministers who had received notices from the Supreme Court should resign immediately. At the same time, the government should also withdraw its decision to extend legal assistance to the tainted ministers, he said.
