It looks like the Congress leaders in different parts of the state, particularly in Rayalaseema region, are feeling like fish out of water. They are eagerly looking to get into safe waters for their political survival.

According to latest information, Gangula Bhanumathi, wife of slain faction leader of Anantapur Maddelacheruvu Suri, is contemplating joining the YSR Congress party shortly. Initially, she thought she would stay back in the Congress and fight the next elections on the Congress ticket. However, she has not get any concrete assurance from the party leaders, though she had met Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy several times. Even in the district, she has not been getting good support from the local Congress leaders.

Secondly, Bhanumathi is suspecting that the Kiran Kumar Reddy government is diluting the case of her husband’s murder, as the accused killer Bhanu Kiran is said to have links with several Congress leaders. And if Bhanu comes out on bail, he might even target her.

So, the best option before her is to take refuge in YSR Congress, where she can not only get protection, but also bright political future. She has no other option but to safeguard her properties.
