The blessing for Indian filmmakers is they are born in a country which is rich in history and mythology. So, if they are to make films and need storylines all they have to do is visit our past and there are thousands of interesting stories and tales. Currently, two noted names are on that mission.

They are Ram Gopal Varma and S S Rajamouli. Apparently, Ramu had announced few months ago that he would be coming up with a film based on ‘Ramayana’. Now, it is heard that Rajamouli is planning to make a film with inspiration from Mahabharata. However, here is the interesting bit.

Both moviemakers are not making it as a mythological flick. This would be something more contemporary.  And there is also another thing. RGV is rather unpredictable when it comes to his films so we don’t know when he will actually do the film but Rajamouli will do it for sure the moment he makes an official announcement.
