It is now an open secret that the rift between Telangana Joint Action Committee convenor Prof M Kodandaram and Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao is widening with every passing day.
While KCR has gone to the extent of saying that he would not take part in any programme which would be attended by Kodandaram. However, the latter has turned tables on KCR saying he was with an open mind and had no differences with anybody. The TJAC is getting ready to launch the Telangana agitation in a big way in September and Kodandaram camp feels if KCR stays away from the agitation, he would get easily exposed.
On the other hand, many TRS leaders are said to be not happy with the way KCR was opposing Kodandaram. They are of the view that the TRS would lose its credibility if it does not participate in the agitation.
“Already, the Telangana TDP and the BJP are trying to capitalize on the silence of KCR. At this stage, it is in the best interest of the Telangana that KCR give up his personal ego and compromise with Kodandaram,” a TRS leader said.
