Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu who never loses an opportunity to make tall statements on weeding out corruption in politics, has not come out with any comment on the proposed launch of political party by Team Anna Hazare to provide a strong political alternative in the country.

All these days, Naidu used to come out in support of Anna Hazare strongly in the latter’s crusade against corruption. He led rallies in support of Anna and in fact, he claimed himself to be Andhra Anna Hazare, as he advocated weeding out of corruption in politics. When he was in power, he emulated Anna’s concept of watershed management in the state and he had invited the veteran leader to Hyderabad several times.

Now that Anna wants to launch his own party, one wonders whether the TDP would like to join hands the Anna party. And even if Naidu wants to ally with Anna, one wonders whether Anna team would allow him to ally with it. Obviously, Anna will be careful in choosing his team members; lest it ends up being yet another corrupt political party.
