Telangana Rashtra Samithi MP from Medak Vijayashanti on Monday lashed out at the YSR Congress party for bringing goondas from Rayalaseema region to attack the Telangana activists who questioned the party for not disclosing its stand on Telangana region.

“There were goondas in the convoy of YSR Congress party leader Y S Vijayalakshmi who came to Siricilla today. They carried sticks and stones in their vehicles. They mercilessly beat up the TRS activists who tried to pull up Vijayamma demanding her stand on the Telangana region. They beat up even womenfolk working in the fields. If this is the situation at present, imagine how the situation would be if Jaganmohan Reddy becomes the Chief Minister,” she said, at a press conference at Telangana Bhavan.

Vijayashanti pointed out that more than 10,000 police were deployed at a huge cost for providing security cover to Vijayalakshmi’s deeksha.

“Had the same amount been spent in Siricilla, the problems of weavers would have been solved. The YSR Congress party is a dangerous political party. The people of Telangana do not need such a party,” she said.
