Congress MP from Anakapalle Sabbam Hari, a staunch loyalist of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, has felt that the Congress party might need the support of Jagan in future.

He told the media persons Visakhapatnam on Thursday that Jagan would emerge as a strong political force in the state in the coming days.

“He won’t need the support of the Congress party in forming the government in the state, but the Congress at the Centre would definitely need the support of Jagan,” Hari said.

The pro-Jagan Congress MP defended the YSR Congress party’s decision to support UPA candidate Pranab Mukherjee in the Presidential elections.

“That does not mean Jagan has compromised with the Congress. In fact, his party’s decision is being appreciated by all sections of people. On the other hand, the TDP has done a blunder by deciding to abstain from voting,” he said.
