It is now an established fact that nobody takes Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao very seriously on the Telangana statehood issue, because he is known for extending the deadlines at his will.

It was only a couple of days ago that the TRS president told the Telangana NGO leaders that the formation of separate state would become reality in a few days and that the Centre might make an announcement to that effect anytime after the Presidential elections. On Wednesday, he told the workers of Singareni Collieries that Telangana state would be announced in August and that he had pucca information from the Centre to that effect.

On Thursday, KCR changed his deadline once again. He told the media at Huzurabad that the Telangana state would be announced in the month of September.

“And our struggle does not end with the formation of separate state. It will continue till the Telangana is developed on all fronts,” he said.

The media persons are now in a state of confusion on what to write. They wonder whether KCR would change the deadline again at a later date.
