Telangana Rashtra Samithi leadership seems to be having supreme confidence in Congress party president Sonia Gandhi over granting separate Telangana state, despite the fact that she had betrayed their confidence a number of times in the past.

Former TRS MP and senior leader B Vinod Kumar declared on Wednesday that the blueprint for Telangana statehood is ready and it was being given final touches.

“There is a favourable atmosphere at the Centre on the Telangana statehood. We are extremely confident that the announcement would come very shortly. We, however, will not drop the gun till the announcement is made,” he said.

On Tuesday, TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao told the Telangana NGO leaders that there was no need to launch any fresh agitation right now, since the announcement on Telagnana statehood would come any time.

“I have pucca information from the Centre that the Telangana formation would become a reality very soon. At this state, any agitation would prove counterproductive,” he told the NGO leaders, with reference to the proposed 85-day Telangana March announced by the Telangana Joint Action Committee.

One does not know how far KCR can be believed, but it is definitely going to cause unrest among the people if there is no such announcement.
