Lakshminarayana to continue in AP

Central Bureau of Investigation joint director in Andhra Pradesh V V Lakshminarayana, who has become a thorn in the flesh of YSR Congress party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, besides several IAS officers involved in various cases, will continue to remain their nightmare for more years to come.

The CBI headquarters sent a media communiqué in New Delhi that though Lakshminarayana had completed his term a few days back, he would continue in the present post till the cases he is probing reach a logical conclusion. Going by this statement, it is evident that the CBI joint director would get extension for another two to three years.

It is learnt the Centre was under tremendous pressure to shift Lakshminarayana from Hyderabad as he was going too personal with the cases against Jagan and others.

Even when Jagan’s mother Vijayalakshmi brought this to the notice of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh during her recent meeting with him. However, the party bosses in Delhi seem to have felt there is no better person than Lakshminarayana to witch-hunt Jagan and others.

So, the people of Andhra Pradesh have to bear with this gentleman for a couple of years more!
