That the Telugu Desam Party’s Vijayawada urbab unit president Vallabhaneni Vamsi might also follow Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani’s path in jumping into the YSR Congress party was evident from his conspicuous absence at the press meet convened by the Krishna unit TDP leaders’ press conference to condemn Nani’s defection.
Vamsi attended the meeting convened by party president N Chandrababu Naidu at the NTR Trust Bhavan to discuss the developments in the party in Krishna district in the wake of Nani’s defection to YSR Congress. The TDP president asked the party leaders from the district to convene a press conference and condemn Nani’s betrayal of the party.
However, Vamsi who was only a silent spectator at the meeting conveniently avoided the press meet addressed by his rival Devineni Umamaheshwar Rao and others, where they described Nani as a backstabber and political debaucher. Vamsi later quietly left the party office without telling anybody, leading to the speculations that he is also making preparations to leave the party sooner or later.
