It looks like former minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy, who has recently quit the Congress party to get back into the family of his brother Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, is yet to get into the good books of his nephew Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Ever since he had quit the Congress and announced his intention to join YSR Congress party, he has not been able to meet Jagan, as the latter is in the Chanchalguda jail. He made quite a few attempts, the last one on Saturday, to meet Jagan in the jail, but he could not get the permission form the jail authorities. It is learnt Jagan himself was not willing to meet Viveka.
Sources said Viveka has not been able to mingle with the family of Jagan properly, unlike in the past when both his family and that of YSR were almost like a joint family. Though Viveka was found along with Vijayamma and Sharmila during the by-election campaign in Kadapa, he was seen more or less like an uninvited guest.
Obviously, Jagan has not pardoned Viveka for ditching him during the crisis period and returning to the family only after he failed to get the Rajya Sabha ticket. It may be mentioned that even while making an attempt for RS ticket, Viveka expressed his loyalty to Sonia Gandhi and declared that he would continue in the Congress till the last breath. He even commented that the law would take its own course with regard to the allegations of corruption against Jagan.
