If YSR Congress party leaders are to be believed, the Central Vigilance Commission would conduct a probe into the allegations against Central Bureau of Investigation joint director V V Lakshminarayana.

The YSR Congress party leaders under the leadership of their honorary president Y S Vijayalakshmi met CVC Pradeep Kumar on Thursday and complained to him against the style of functioning of Lakshminarayana. They said he was acting with vengeance while investigating into the alleged illegal assets case of party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. They alleged that the CBI chief was deliberately leaking news to some select media on the progress of investigation.

The CVC assured them that he would summon Lakshminarayana and conduct a probe into the complaints against him.

“If the charges against him are proved, we will definitely take action against him,” he assured.
