After a brief lull, maverick Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal is back at the bashing of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

Lagadapati fretted and fumed at Jagan’s mother Y S Vijayalakshmi for her whirlwind tour of New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and other national leaders to present her tale of woe and that of Jagan.

“She is making every effort to save her son from facing the CBI trial. She is trying to cover up the crimes of Jagan,” he alleged.

Lagadapati said he would also lead a delegation of party leaders to meet the Prime Minister and explain him about the misdeeds of Jagan and how he had amassed huge wealth through illegal means.

“Though the CBI is investigating the Jagan’s case only at the direction of the court, the YSR Congress party leaders are politicizing the case. The probe will disclose all the misdeeds of Jagan,” he said.

The Vijayawada MP wondered why Vijayamma did not raise the issue of sabotage in her husband Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s death with the Prime Minister.

“She raised the issue during the by-elections only to get political mileage for her party in the by-elections,” he alleged.
