YSR Congress party honorary president Y S Vijayalakshmi has taken New Delhi by storm during his three day visit, if the reports from the national capital are any indication.

Though Vijayalakshmi could not meet anybody on the first day of her visit, she managed to create an impact on all the national leaders in the next two days, starting with Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. She met agriculture minister Sharad Pawar, JD (U) leader and NDA convenor Sharad Yadav, Trinamul Congress party leaders and CPI senior leader A B Bardhan. On Thursday evening, she would be meeting CPI-M senior leader Prakash Karat, besides Chief Vigilance Commissioner Pradeep Kumar.

Vijayamma got tremendous response from all the leaders especially in the wake of her party’s tremendous victory in the recent by-elections and the arrest of her son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in the CBI case.

Most of the leaders were all praise for her leadership qualities in securing victory for the party despite Jagan’s arrest; and they evinced interest in having alliance with her party in the coming years. All said and done, Vijayamma managed to attract the attention of national parties and also the national media!
