The talk of Rayala Telangana formula and the proposal for making Hyderabad as union territory are creating confusion among the people of the Telangana region and complicating the issue further.

This is the general opinion expressed by the Telangana leaders.

“Let us not make it too much complicated with all sorts of formulae. Let the Centre come out with a decision on the Telangana demand at the earliest. The state has already been lagging behind other states on many fronts and it has failed to get funds from the Centre due to uncertainty. Whatever may be its stand, the Centre should come out with an announcement,” senior Telugu Desam Party leader and MP T Devender Goud said.

He reminded the statement of home minister P Chidambaram that the Congress would have to spell out its stand on Telangana first before seeking the opinions of the others.

“We are also making the same demand. The Congress party should declare its stand on Telangana to end the political uncertainty in the state,” he said.
