One does not know what is in the mind of the Congress high command over the Telangana statehood issue, but the party leaders who have been interacting with the top leaders including party president Sonia Gandhi for the last one week, are confidently saying there would be a solution to the vexed issue very soon.
It was the turn of Congress MP from Guntur Rayapati Sambasiva Rao to come out with a statement that the Centre would make an announcement on the Telangana issue by the end of July.
“There is going to be a statement from the Centre on the Telangana issue by this month end. And it would be acceptable to all the regions. The party high command is very seriously working out a solution, which will be definitely revealed after the Presidential elections,” Rayapati said.
A couple of days ago, Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal also made a similar comment. He, however, said the state would remain united and the decision of the Centre would only be in that direction.
Unless there is an official statement from the Centre, this uncertainty will continue to prevail.
