No Plans To Quit TDP: Talasani

After making all attempts to try his political fortunes in other parties, former minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav seems to have felt that it is better to stay back in the Telugu Desam Party at least for the time being.

Talasani, who has been in a virtual political oblivion for quite some time, has returned to active participation in the TDP programmes. When media persons asked him why he stayed away from party activities for a long time and whether he had any plans to jump into any other party, he shouted back at them saying he had no plans to quit the party now. “Who told you that I am defecting to other parties?” he asked.

Interestingly, he turned his ire at the Congress party both in the state and the centre.

“The Centre has to remove the political uncertainty in the state by coming out with a clear decision on Telangana statehood. What is the point in encouraging some leaders to put forth the Rayala Telangana proposal now? Why is it making all sorts of experiments with Andhra Pradesh after its debacle in the by-elections?” he asked.

Talasani also lashed out at Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for neglecting the governance in the state and concentrating only on saving his seat. He said he would lead a rally of intellectuals and students to New Delhi to bring pressure on the Centre to resolve the Telangana crisis at the earliest.
