There was a time when the arrival of the films from the Sambar land ie Kollywood was a welcome to the Telugu audience due to the different content and taking. But now, it appears that the influx of these films have begun to create a scare to the Avakai land ie Tollywood.
 
Apparently, the Tamil films which are arriving in dubbed format are scoring well at the Telugu box office and the prime reason for that has been the placement of their release. They are hitting the screens when there is no other film around and making the most of the opening week collections despite getting weak talk.
 
On the other hand, our Telugu films are always busy clashing with each other and eating away their shares. The last year or so has seen several instances where multiple releases or no release took place on a Friday. Perhaps it is time for the Telugu Thammullu to take few tips from the Tamil Thambis regarding the positioning of a film’s release.
