The troubles for megastar-turned-politician K Chiranjeevi after entering the dirty politics are far from over. Even before he recovered from the shock of the by-poll election results, the megastar received the news that a Tamil Nadu court had issued him a non-bailable warrant for arresting him.
The Hosur court in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday issued the NBW against Chiranjeevi for violation of the model code of conduct in the electioneering in Hosur on behalf of Congress candidate Gopinath during assembly elections in that state last year.
The Tamil Nadu police filed cases against Chiranjeevi and five others in Bagaluru police station under sections 143 and 188 of the IPC.
However, Chiranjeevi has been abstaining from attending the trial in the court in the last several months. Since the case is getting delayed due to his absence, the local court issued the NBW against him. It warned that if Chiranjeevi does not appear before the court on August 2, he would be arrested.
